Spring in Chino Hills State Park never disappoints, and this high school senior photo session was a true dream. The rolling hills were blanketed in golden yellow and soft white wildflowers—perfectly complementing MK’s vibrant personality and favorite color: yellow.
This session was extra special because MK’s mom booked my The Seasons Senior Package, which includes both a Fall and Spring senior session. In the fall, we captured the cozy, autumn-inspired look. But for this second session, everything came together perfectly—the glowing sunshine, the breathtaking wildflower fields, and MK’s excitement as she prepares to wrap up her senior year of high school.

A Senior in Her Element

MK lit up among the wildflowers, looking completely at home in her surroundings. Her love for the color yellow shone through—not just in the scenery, but in her energy. This session wasn’t only about photos; it was about capturing a milestone. With graduation just around the corner, MK was ready to celebrate her achievements and announce her college decision in a way that felt personal and true to her.

Why I Love Seasonal Senior Packages

One of my favorite things about the Seasons Package is being able to document the different stages of senior year. Fall brings the anticipation of all that’s to come, while spring captures the joy and reflection as seniors prepare to close this chapter. MK’s spring session was the perfect ending—filled with sunshine, wildflowers, and so much personality.

Wrapping Up Senior Year with Style

High school senior portraits are more than just pictures—they’re a way to celebrate who you are in this season of life. MK’s spring senior session at Chino Hills State Park will forever remind her of this exciting time: the laughter, the flowers, and the pride of announcing her next big adventure.
If you’re a parent of a soon-to-be senior, now is the perfect time to start thinking about booking a senior photo session in Chino Hills, Riverside, or the Inland Empire. Whether you love the golden fields of spring, the colorful tones of fall, or both, I’d love to create timeless portraits that tell your senior’s story.

As parents, we’re all too familiar with how quickly time flies. From the first steps to graduation day, it feels like one moment you’re holding your child’s hand as they learn to walk, and the next, they’re navigating the world as adults. Once your children are grown, the opportunities to capture those candid moments together often seem fewer and far between. Yet, this stage of life offers some of the most meaningful and cherished memories, and there’s no better way to preserve them than through photography.

Here’s why taking photographs with your adult children is essential:

1. Documenting Milestones Together

Life doesn’t stop at childhood. As your children enter adulthood, there are many new milestones to celebrate together—graduations, career achievements, weddings, or even just quiet family moments. Taking photographs during these occasions helps you document not just their growth but your journey as a family. These images will serve as reminders of shared accomplishments and moments of pride.

2. Strengthening Bonds

Photography can be a bonding experience, offering the chance to reconnect amidst life’s busy schedules. Whether it’s during family holidays, birthdays, or casual get-togethers, these photo sessions create opportunities to pause and appreciate each other’s presence. Even a simple family photo can serve as a reminder of the love and support that exists within your family, no matter the distance or time apart.

3. Capturing Changing Dynamics

As children grow into adults, the family dynamic naturally evolves. Photos with adult children reflect this transition, highlighting new dimensions of your relationship. Whether it’s capturing them in their professional roles or enjoying a more equal, peer-like connection, these photos tell the story of how your bond has matured and deepened over the years.

4. Preserving Family History

Family photos are a way of passing down history. They become part of the legacy you leave behind, giving future generations a glimpse into the lives of their ancestors. Your adult children will cherish these images, not only for themselves but for their own children and grandchildren. These photographs serve as visual time capsules that future generations will treasure.

5. Creating Lasting Keepsakes

In an age where digital media often dominates, there’s something timeless and irreplaceable about printed photos. A beautifully framed family portrait, or a candid snapshot taken during a casual outing, holds sentimental value that no smartphone screen can replicate. These tangible keepsakes will evoke cherished memories for years to come, long after the moment has passed.

6. Celebrating Togetherness

At every stage of life, it’s important to celebrate togetherness, and photography offers a powerful way to do that. Life can take family members in different directions—different cities, careers, or even countries. A family photo serves as a visual anchor, reminding everyone that, no matter the miles between you, your bond remains strong.

7. Time is Fleeting

One of the simplest yet most profound reasons to take photos with your adult children is that time is fleeting. As life moves forward, opportunities to be together as a family may become more limited. Photos capture these fleeting moments, allowing you to hold onto them forever.

While we often think of family photography as something reserved for when our children are young, capturing moments with your adult children is just as significant, if not more so. It’s about celebrating life’s journey, creating meaningful keepsakes, and reflecting on the love and bond that remains constant through every stage of life. So, the next time your family is together, don’t hesitate to take a few photos. You’ll be grateful for the memories, and so will they.

Video Title

I’m Kim and I am a portrait and wedding photographer. I love to document moments, big ones, little ones and especially the tiny ones that sometimes go unnoticed.

Here’s a few fun facts about me...
I married a chef, so although I probably can cook, we will never know if that is true or not.I am the Mom of 2 amazing humans, whom I’m very proud of. They have been and continue to be some of my favorite subjects to photograph.

I'm a Professional School Counselor. I've also known I've wanted to be a counselor since I myself was in high school. I spend a lot of my time around high schoolers and you would think I would want an escape. But photographing graduating seniors is one of my favorite things. Spending the day on a Senior Session invigorates me. I love knowing that as they finish this chapter of either High School or College, they are ready to enter the big world and take it by storm.

I always tear up at some point at every wedding. It's usually during the vows or speaks or when the groom sees his bride for the first time.
I love to travel. So if you are wanting to plan a destination session, I am in!
